CTV Shift: Enabling Connected TV with local technology

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT ?

As video consumption habits shift significantly in Belgium, the Connected TV (CTV) landscape is evolving at high speed. With more viewers streaming content on their big screens, advertisers are navigating a new hybrid reality that merges the impact of TV with the precision and flexibility of digital media.

To explore the evolution and growing role of Connected TV in the Belgian advertising landscape, we’re bringing together three key industry voices to examine the maturity, challenges, and future of CTV in Belgium:.

  • Margaux Marien (Business & Client Director, Semetis) will provide the agency perspective on how CTV fits into omnichannel media strategies, the current state of data-driven planning, and what advertisers expect in terms of measurability and flexibility.
  • Bert Velghe (Digital Business Development Manager, DPG Media Advertising) will explain how their Full CTV solution bridges the gap between linear TV and digital precision, and how publishers are adapting to changing viewing behaviours.
  • Bjorn Van der Cruyssen (Head of Media, Colruyt) will contribute the advertiser’s point of view, offering insights into how CTV supports both brand and retail objectives, and what criteria are driving media investment decisions today.

This open conversation will go beyond buzzwords to explore real use cases, current capabilities, and what advertisers should expect from CTV in terms of targeting, measurement, and buying flexibility.

Moderated by Alain Heureux, this debate will offer cross-industry perspectives and spark an open dialogue on:

  • How CTV is evolving in Belgium in terms of platforms, consumption, and ad formats
  • What capabilities and limitations exist in data, targeting, and programmatic buying
  • How publishers, agencies, and advertisers can collaborate to build effective and accountable CTV strategies
