Curious and self-taught, Hugues De Cuyper discovered the world of wine in 2010, and never looked back.
Two years later, he founded Les Caves d’Alex in Brussels, a place where gastronomy meets authenticity and sharing.

After studying at the Université du Vin in Suze-la-Rousse and gaining experience at Sea Grill and Maxime Colin, Hugues returned with a broader, more eclectic vision of wine.

Named Best Sommelier of Brussels 2023 and twice a semi-finalist in the Best Sommelier of Belgium competition, he continues to champion a living, accessible, and inquisitive approach to wine through Les Caves d’Alex and his company Wine Cellar.
